Surf camp start dates
Our weekly schedule runs from Sunday to Sunday. That’s why we recommend all of our guest to arrive on a Sunday. With this you will get the most our of your package and be able join all the theory classes and surf lessons in the right order. However if this is not working out for your schedule we are happy to help you to organise your arrival on another day of the week.
On the arrival day there will be nothing organized and the surf / activities will start the day after.
If you wish to have a shorter or longer stay kindly contact us and we will make a package offer for you.
Preparations for your first surf camp trip
Is this your first surf-trip? Does it feel like starting into the unknown? Everyone knows, a good preparation beats everything and we would like to support you here. The water temperature around Lombok is between 26 and 29 degrees, so board shorts and bikini are ok for swimming. But for surfing we recommend to bring in addition rash guards and leggings, both don’t have to be surf specific clothing - any fast drying lycra fabric is good. This is not only the best protection against the strong tropical sun, it protects you also from rashes caused through the surfboard. Of course you will need further accessories like sunscreen (SPF 50), caps and sunglasses.
Each room is equipped with a queen size bed (unfortunately we are not able to put an extra mattress into the rooms) and has its own private bathroom with hot shower.
The way to Nalua Surf Lombok
BY AIRPLANE: The Lombok international Airport (LOP) is located only 25 minutes away from Kuta. There are many direct flights from several airports in Indonesia such as Bali or Java as well as flights from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
FAST BOAT: Either you come straight to Lombok or you stop at the Gili islands (Gili T., Gili Air & Gili Meno). The harbour on Bali is called Padang Bai, on the east coast of the island. Once you arrived on Lombok, it is a 1,5 hours drive down to Kuta.
FERRY: There is also a ferry transport between Bali and Lombok available, it is a slow ferry running every day. If you want you can bring your scooter or the car on the ferry.

Visa requirements Indonesia
Visitors from most countries can get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival, but this visa is not extendable. Another option is to get a paid visa on arrival for 35 USD which is extendable for another 30 days. In order to avoid problems on arrival, please make sure your passport is valid at least 6 months. It is also possible to apply for a 60 day visa in your home country. The benefit here is, that you don’t have to go to the immigration office in Indonesia after 30 days.
Bali is considered safe for Malaria. All other Indonesian islands have a higher risk of Malaria and precautions are necessary. We recommend to bring Malaria prophylaxis medication, but on Lombok there no need to take it in advance, only in case you will get Malaria symptoms.
